OUR LOCATION
Poblado
Our school is located on a beautiful tree-lined street right on the edge of Parque Lleras in the safe and entertaining neighbourhood of Poblado. We are surrounded by independent shops, restaurants and bars, and the area is very popular with locals. How better to relax than enjoying an ice-cold beer for €0.60 or so while talking with locals in Parque Lleras?
We are also just a few minutes walk from the majority of hostels and apartments, so you won't need to waste time getting to school every day. We can help find you suitable accommodation as well.
Medellín
Medellín is a friendly city of about 3.5 million people. It is surrounded by mountains and has lots of history and culture to entertain you outside of class. Its size also makes it easy to navigate and it has a superb bus network along with Colombia's only metro system. Your school fees include certain cultural activities and walking tours, which we will use to get you acquainted with Medellin, so you’ll have the confidence to explore the city on your own, with class-mates, or with new friends made using your new language!
Colombia
The stunning country of Colombia is one of the top five bio diverse countries in the world. There is so much to experience we can promise you won't get bored. In fact, Colombia is a country that has a wonderful mix of culture, history, and natural beauty – there is a very real risk that you won't want to leave!
HOW WE TEACH
Curriculum
We have great teachers and a quality,interactive curriculum based on proven methods. You can trust us to provide excellent Spanish classes and facilities at a reasonable price without comprising quality. We designed our enhanced curriculum based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which is considered the gold standard in modern language tuition.
The CEFR divides the learning process into six different levels, ranging from A1 beginners up to C2 masters. We have taken this as our starting point and then focused our curriculum a little more on areas relevant to students travelling in foreign countries.
Teaching Style
All of our teachers are qualified language graduates, but knowing the subject matter is only half of what makes our classes great. Our teachers ensure that lessons take place a friendly, safe environment where everyone can feel at ease practising and learning from their mistakes. We actively encourage our teachers to make the lessons both fun and relevant. This not only improves learning but also recognises that most of our students are on holiday and have made a big investment with their time to learn Spanish with us.
Why Do We Do What We Do?
We just love seeing the improvement in students who arrive at the school either knowing very little Spanish or lacking the confidence to use what they do know. We also love knowing that they are leaving with the skills and confidence to use what they have learnt with us and with the core principles in place to continue on their language journey long after they have left our school. This makes us strive for continuous improvement.
